National Civil Service Agency (BKN) Highlights the Importance of System Integration for One State Civil Apparatus (ASN) Data at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram’s Work Meeting

Mataram, April 29, 2025 The National Civil Service Agency (BKN) reaffirmed its commitment to modernizing civil servant data management through system integration during the work meeting held at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. The event featured a presentation by Waisul Qorni S Sos M Si, Head of the Unit for Candidate Selection and State Civil Apparatus (ASN) Competency Assessment in Mataram, who emphasized the significance of digital transformation in civil servant governance. Held at the third-floor auditorium of the rectorate building, the session focused on the One State Civil Apparatus (ASN) Data initiative, which aims to establish an accurate, up-to-date, integrated, accountable, measurable, and easily accessible data system. Qorni highlighted the urgent need for comprehensive data governance, explaining that a unified approach would enhance decision-making processes, workforce planning, and policy development at national and institutional levels. The integration of One State Civil Apparatus (ASN) Data is designed to achieve several objectives. First, it serves as a guiding framework for the implementation of structured data governance, ensuring uniformity and transparency across government institutions. Second, it enhances data quality and integrity, reducing inconsistencies and improving accessibility to support more efficient policy decisions. Third, it ensures that all State Civil Apparatus (ASN) data is standardized, accurate, and well-integrated, complemented by metadata specifications and electronic dissemination through a single data portal. Lastly, it seeks to strengthen institutional capacity and human resource competencies, ensuring that personnel responsible for data management possess the necessary expertise. Beyond data integration, Qorni underscored the critical importance of access control and security. State Civil Apparatus (ASN) data must be protected from unauthorized access, with strict regulations governing data retrieval and usage. To reinforce security, he recommended strong password policies and the adoption of multi-factor authentication systems like Google Authenticator. This approach, he explained, would mitigate the risk of breaches, ensuring data confidentiality and integrity. During the interactive discussion session, participants raised several concerns regarding technical challenges in integrating State Civil Apparatus (ASN) data across various government agencies. Qorni responded with practical solutions, offering strategies for overcoming data discrepancies, improving interdepartmental coordination, and ensuring compliance with data security protocols. He reiterated that the success of One State Civil Apparatus (ASN) Data depends on collaborative efforts between government entities, emphasizing the need for continuous evaluation and system improvements. The discussion concluded with a positive outlook on the future of digital transformation in State Civil Apparatus (ASN) management. As institutions across Indonesia work towards implementing a unified, secure, and efficient data system, the insights shared during the session provided a strategic roadmap for optimizing governance and public service delivery. This initiative marks a milestone in modernizing State Civil Apparatus (ASN) data management, reflecting a broader commitment to digital integration and enhanced administrative efficiency.
