BUILDING ACADEMIC FOUNDATIONS: POSTGRADUATE MATRICULATION PROGRAM SUCCESSFULLY HELD AT IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM

Mataram, September 5, 2025 – The Postgraduate Program of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram successfully organized its Matriculation Program from September 1 to 5, 2025, at the 2nd floor of the Rectorate Building. The program was attended by 39 students, consisting of 6 doctoral students (Ph.D.) in Hindu Religious Education, 27 master’s students (M.A.) in Hindu Communication Studies, and 6 master’s students (M.A.) in Hindu Religious Education.

The Matriculation Program is an academic orientation and preparatory activity designed for new postgraduate students before entering formal lectures. It aims to introduce students to the academic environment, provide basic knowledge relevant to their fields of study, and strengthen their readiness for postgraduate-level education.

Through this program, students are expected to gain a clearer understanding of the academic culture at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, including research methodologies, academic writing, and interdisciplinary approaches in Hindu studies. The sessions also offered opportunities to interact with faculty members and peers, fostering an academic community that supports collaborative learning and research.

The academic sessions were enriched by the contributions of several distinguished lecturers, including Prof. Dr. Ir. Their expertise and insights provided valuable guidance, ensuring that students received a strong foundation before beginning their postgraduate studies.

Closing the program, the Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd., conveyed a strong message to the participants. He emphasized that matriculation is not only an introduction to campus life but also a strategic step to prepare students for academic excellence. “This program is intended to ensure that every student has the necessary foundation to face the challenges of postgraduate study. I congratulate all of you for successfully completing this stage, and I wish you success in your journey as scholars who will contribute to the advancement of Hindu studies and society,” the Rector stated.

With the completion of the 2025 matriculation, the postgraduate students are now prepared to begin their academic journey with strong motivation and commitment, carrying forward the spirit of excellence and devotion in Hindu higher education.

The committee also highlighted that matriculation is part of the university’s long-term commitment to developing a high-quality learning environment. It is expected that students not only excel academically but also embody the values of discipline, responsibility, and integrity as future leaders in education, communication, and Hindu society.

This year’s matriculation was seen as a meaningful starting point that bridges students’ personal aspirations with the institution’s vision. The event left a positive impression on participants, reinforcing their confidence and enthusiasm to pursue postgraduate education at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram.

GELAR DOA BERSAMA, KAMPUS IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM DIPADATI TOKOH DAN UMAT HINDU

Halaman kampus Institut Agama Hindu Negeri (IAHN) Gde Pudja Mataram, Kamis (4/9/2025) sore, dipadati umat dan tokoh Hindu dari berbagai daerah di Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB). Mereka hadir dalam doa bersama bertajuk Hindu Berjapa untuk Indonesia Damai yang diinisiasi oleh Direktorat Jenderal Bimbingan Masyarakat (Ditjen Bimas) Hindu Kementerian Agama RI. Rektor IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd., menindaklanjuti program tersebut dengan mengundang seluruh unsur masyarakat Hindu, mulai dari para sulinggih, pemangku, pimpinan dan anggota organisasi masyarakat Hindu se-NTB, termasuk PHDI, ICHI, P3I, WHDI, BDDN, DHI, Sarathi, Puskor Hindunesia, RBKS, sivitas akademika, hingga para brahmacari dari pasraman. Acara berlangsung khidmat dengan doa dipimpin oleh Manggala Dharma Upapati, Ida Pedanda Gde Kertha Arsa, bersama Walaning Dharma Upapati, Ida Pedanda Gde Duija Putra. Doa diiringi lantunan genta para pemangku yang tergabung dalam organisasi Pinandita Sanggrahan Nusantara (PSN) NTB, menciptakan suasana religius dan penuh penghayatan. Kehadiran Kabid Bimas Hindu bersama jajaran serta penyuluh agama Hindu semakin menegaskan kuatnya dukungan pemerintah terhadap upaya menjaga kerukunan, persatuan, dan kedamaian bangsa melalui doa lintas wilayah. Menurut Prof. Wirata, kegiatan ini tidak hanya menjadi momentum spiritual, tetapi juga sarana mempererat kebersamaan umat Hindu di NTB. UPHOLDING INTEGRITY AND CAMPUS BRANDING: KEY NOTES FROM DIRJEN’S VISIT TOIAHN GDE PUDJA

Mataram, August 31, 2025 The State Hindu Institute of Gde Pudja Mataram (IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram) was honored to host the Director General of Hindu Community Guidance at the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Drs. I Nengah Duija, M.Si., in a Performance Motivation Development Program for structural and functional officials on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Held at the 2nd-floor meeting hall of the Rectorate Building, the event gathered the entire leadership line of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd. opened the session with warm appreciation for the Director Generals presence despite his demanding national agenda. He also called on all officials to carefully absorb and follow up on the directions that would be delivered. In his keynote address, Prof. Duija conveyed a series of inspiring messages. He underlined the importance of campus branding as the backbone of institutional progress, encouraging every unit to formulate clear strategies for the future. He also highlighted the value of collaboration, stating that policies from the Ministry, the Directorate, and the Rector must be implemented with shared commitment. Beyond administrative focus, Prof. Duija invited the academic community to hold collective prayers for peace in the nation, as instructed by the Minister of Religious Affairs. He emphasized that in the midst of social and political challenges currently facing the nation, the academic community has a moral responsibility to contribute to harmony through spiritual strength. According to him, prayer is not only a form of devotion but also a unifying force that brings together differences in the spirit of solidarity and national integrity.reflecting the spiritual foundation of higher education. Do not be complacent. Our lecturers must remain focused on their professional growth while contributing to the collective advancement of the campus. Together, we bear the responsibility to build a strong, respected, and future-ready institution, Prof. Duija emphasized. The program also served as a platform to strengthen the sense of togetherness among the officials. IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM GELAR SIDANG SENAT TERBUKA WISUDA PASCASARJANA KE XI & PROGRAM SARJANA KE XXIV

Dalam gelaran Wisuda Program Pascasarjana ke XI dan Program Sarjana ke XXIV Institut Agama Hindu Negeri (IAHN) Gde Pudja Mataram (30/08/2025), yang berlangsung di Aula Lantai III IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram dengan Tema Penguatan Spirit Kebangsaan dan Lokal Wisdom Menuju Indonesia Emas 2045. Acara Wisuda semakin terasa istimewa dengan kehadiran tamu-tamu penting. Acara ini dihadiri oleh Direktur Jenderal Bimbingan Masyarakat Hindu Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia, Rektor IAHN Mpu Kuturan Singaraja, Ketua STAHN Klaten, Rektor UIN Mataram, Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama Provinsi NTB, Tokoh Agama, Tokoh Masyarakat, Pimpinan Perguruan Tinggi Se Kota Mataram, Para Pimpinan Instansi Pemerintahan di wilayah Propinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat dan Kota Mataram, Para Pimpinan atau Perwaklilan Lembaga Swadaya Masyarakat se Kota Mataram dan para undangan lainnya. Ketua Panitia Ibu Ni Made Ayu Gempa Wati, S.Ag.,M.Pd.H juga menyampaikan bahwa Wisuda Tahap II ini berjumlah 179 Wisudawan setelah 69 Wisudawan di Tahap I sehingga menjadi jumlah lulusan terbanyak di Tahun 2025 yaitu 248 Lulusan. Sehingga pada tahap II menggunakan dua lokasi kegiatan mengingat kapasitas di Aula Lantai III tidak cukup untuk pendamping di halaman kampus IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. Dalam acara tersebut diawali dengan pembukaan Sidang Senat terbuka, oleh Ketua Senat Bapak Prof Dr Drs. I Nyoman Murba Widhana, ,M.Ag. yang dilanjutkan dengan Sambutan Rektor Institut Agama Hindu Negeri Gde Pudja Mataram Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma.,S.E.,M.Si.,M.Pd., dalam sambutannya Rektor memberikan ucapan selamat sekaligus menaruh harapan besar kepada para wisudawan agar nantinya mampu berperan aktif serta lebih produktif dan inovatif sehingga memberikan kontribusi besar membangun masyarakat bangsa dan negara. Menjadi Wisudawan yang rendah hati jangan menjadi sarjana yang membuat masalah dan tetap menjaga nama baik almamater. Dalam kesempatanya Direktur Jenderal Bimbingan Masyarkat Hindu Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia Bapak Prof. Dr. Drs. I Nengah Duija, M.Si berkenan untuk memberikan sambutanya, beliau menitik beratkan pada para pemimpin agar menjadi pembelajar, bisa mengarahkan orang yang tidak terarah menjadi terarah. Pemimpin harus selesai dulu dengan dirinya,menggerakkan organisasi tanpa kepentingan, pemimpin harus ikhlas dan siap dikritik. Bapak Dirjen menyampaikan juga selamat kepada Wisudawan agar setelah ini dapat berkontribusi kepada masyarakat, agama, bangsa dan negara. Selain itu, acara juga dirangkaikan dengan Orasi Ilmiah oleh Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Ketut Putra,S.Ag., M.Ag yang bertajuk " Pengelolaan Pendidikan Berbasis Manajemen Talenta Berkearifan Hindu Bagi Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Hindu", dan selanjutnya, dimeriahkan dengan penampilan Kebesaran yang dipentaskan oleh para mahasiswa. Tari Kebesaran menjadi representasi dari kekayaan budaya dan seni Hindu yang kaya akan nilai-nilai spiritual dan keindahan. Tidak hanya itu, momen emosional juga terjadi saat piagam penghargaan diserahkan kepada Wisudawan berpredikat terbaik pada masing masing program studi dan Penghargaan Bagi Ketua Organisasi Kemahasiswaan BEM dan UKM yang di Wisuda. REKTOR IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM BESERTA TIM PKM MELAKSANAKAN PENGABDIAN DI KABUPATEN SUMBAWA, PROVINSI NTB

Mataram, 26 Agustus 2025 - Rektor IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd. beserta Tim PKM melaksanakan pengabdian di Kabupaten Sumbawa, Provinsi NTB. Aksi Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) merupakan bagian dari pelaksanaan kewajiban Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara berkelompok lintas program studi, diikuti oleh pegawai, dan mahasiswa berjumlah 10 orang. Fokus PKM dilaksanakan pada 23 - 27 Agustus 2025 di Banjar Suka Duka, Kota Sumbawa. Adapun tema dari pengabdian unggulan ini adalah Pembinaan Umat Berbasis Moderasi Beragama untuk Mendukung Perubahan Institut Menuju Universitas. Selain fokus melaksanakan pengabdian, Rektor IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram juga berkesempatan menandatangani Memorandum of Understanding dengan Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Sumbawa (STAIS). Rangkaian kegiatan PKM meliputi program pembinaan umat, dharma wacana, dharma tula, dharma gita, pelatihan aksara Bali, majejahitan, public speaking, weda wakya, tari, serta pembentukan pengurus Pesantian Janana Gita Santhi. Selain memberikan berbagai pola edukasi berbasis moderasi beragama, Tim PKM juga berkesempatan memberikan bantuan sarana pendukung kegiatan di Banjar Gede Suka Duka, Kota Sumbawa. Rektor IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. FROM CAMPUS TO COMMUNITY: IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM EMPOWERS HINDUS THROUGH DANA PUNIA IN COLLABORATION WITH BDDN NTB.

Mataram, August 28, 2025 The State Hindu Institute (IAHN) Gde Pudja Mataram has taken part in the dana punia program facilitated by the Badan Dana Dharma Nasional (BDDN) of West Nusa Tenggara Province. The initiative was carried out in the spirit of unity and gotong royong (mutual cooperation), with the shared vision of building the Gerbang Kemandirian Umat or Gateway to Community Self-Reliance. The collected funds are to be managed by BDDN and allocated to support six strategic pillars: community welfare; health assistance for pandita and pinandita (Hindu spiritual leaders); education and human resource development for Hindus; strengthening Hindu community organizations; economic empowerment programs; humanitarian and social aid; and long-term investment initiatives. The fund handover was officially conducted at Pura Saraswati, IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram campus, in conjunction with the Upanayana ceremony, highlighting the sacred and communal spirit of the occasion. Representing BDDN NTB at the event were Mr. I Ketut Sutarjana, serving as Treasurer II, and Mr. I Gede Oka Budiana, Secretary III. On behalf of BDDN, Mr. Sutarjana expressed his appreciation, stating, We sincerely thank IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram for this meaningful contribution. This support is not only financial but also symbolic of the shared commitment to building the self-reliance of the Hindu community. We hope this collaboration can continue sustainably in the years to come. In response, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd., Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, reaffirmed the institutes dedication, saying, We are honored to be part of this noble initiative. IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM AND STAIS SUMBAWA FORGE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP THROUGH MOU

Sumbawa, August 24, 2025 The State Hindu Institute (IAHN) Gde Pudja Mataram and the Islamic College of Sumbawa (Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Sumbawa/STAIS) formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Sunday, August 24, 2025. The signing ceremony was held at the STAIS campus in Desa Penyaring, Moyo Utara District, Sumbawa Regency. The MoU was signed by Ahmad Jaya, S.Pd., M.T, Chairman of STAIS, and Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd., Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. The agreement outlines a comprehensive collaboration focusing on the Tri Dharma of Higher Education: Education, Research, and Community Service. Through this partnership, both institutions will explore joint academic programs, student and faculty exchanges, collaborative research projects, and community empowerment initiatives. In the field of Education, the two campuses will strengthen curriculum development, organize seminars and workshops, and promote innovation and interfaith dialogue. For Research, the institutions will initiate collaborative studies addressing local, national, and global issues, fostering joint publications and knowledge dissemination. Meanwhile, in Community Service, both parties will design programs aimed at empowering local communities, promoting social harmony, and advancing sustainable development in Sumbawa and beyond. Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata expressed optimism about the cooperation, stating: This MoU reflects our shared vision to advance the quality of higher education.
